CSCI 102 provides a broad introduction to the science of computing and its impact on modern society. This is a technical course intended for those who want to understand the science behind modern communication, entertainment, information, and computer products. Societal issues arising from the application of computers are examined in the context of the underlying technology. This course satisfies the FRC computer literacy requirement and the credits earned can be transferred to universities in California and elsewhere.
